About Expat Experts.
Expat Experts or Expatriate Experts was established in response to numerous user requests for specialist information. The Expat Experts forum style interface allows expatriates (or would be expatriates) to ask questions and information about specific topics and receive responses and support from an expert(s) in the specific subject matter.
Who are the Expatriate Experts?
The Expat Directory 'Expat Experts' are from specialist companies or with specialist skills such as a relocation advisor or an international tax specialist. Each individual expert has their own profile where you can find out more about their area of expertise and, if relevant, their company and its supporting services.
Who can become an Expatriate Expert?
Typically, most requests to become experts come from specialist companies who wish to share their expertise and gain visibility for their company (what better way to demonstrate your companies capability that providing a service direct to your target audience. Providing advice and support typically results in increased leads and sales).
I run a company with several areas of expertise, can several of my staff sign up as experts?
Yes, if you have several departments (international visas, International tax etc) then you may wish to have one or two from each department act as experts for their particular field.
How will I know when new messages have been posted?
As an expat expert, you will receive an email notification each time a new message is posted in your field of expertise.
Do I need to check the experts forum everyday, several times a day?
No, you do not need to check the forums at all, you will receive an email notification informing you that there is a message.
As an expert, do I have to respond to all messages in my specialist field?
No, The Expat Directory is a global platform and some requests may be outside your market area or beyond your ability to support. You will always have the option of whether to provide an answer or not. Please note that if you are approved as an expert and you do not respond to messages at all, your status as an expert will be revoked.
How do I become an expert?
To become an expert, simply contact us and tell us a bit about yourself, your company and we will contact you to discuss your integration as an expat expert.
